Gather: I am, We are.

I began a journey in 2016 to co-create experiences for fathers and children, which went beyond what I had experienced in this area of work. The essential ingredients are community, conversation, play, action, nature, story telling and listening. This year I am co-organising some mini events for families, two weekends for fathers and children and regular listening circles for men to participate in. Find our more at www.iamweare.co.uk

Happy and Healthy Young People: wellbeing, relationships & sexuality

This is a six month programme for young people between the ages of 15-21 years old and the organisations that support them.  It includes a five day residential at the wonderful Hazelwood House as well as training and mentoring support for the key workers who work young people on their ongoing journey. You can find out more information here.

Synchronicity Earth: Your Century!

As part of a six month project which celebrated the 5th year of Synchronicity Earth and the 50th year of the IUCN Red List, I was asked to co-design, project manage and facilitate a youth event aimed at raising awareness of the global issues we face today and what people are doing to make things different.

On Thursday 21st November 2014, 150 young people, parents and school teachers came to the Royal Geographical Society for an evening of inspiration with 18 speakers who were Activists, Change Agents, Founders & CEO's, Musicians, Artists, Young People and Leaders.

As part of this project we trained 12 young people to be facilitators at the event and they each hosted a room space, looking after speakers, organising games, and moving everyone around the multi room event.

At the end of the event our resident wordsmith, Toby Thompson, read out the poem he had created over the three hours of the event to sum up what had taken place. You can hear him read it out on the video below or you can view it as a PDF here

It was so well done and so inspiring, creative, fun and engaging. Everyone working on the event were just fun, helpful and kind. It was just perfect
My sixth form students were really inspired by hearing some of the life stories and tales of the speakers that you invited and really enjoyed the workshops too. The chance to be creative but purposeful was I think very powerful for some of them.
